Broadview University Helps Paralegal Student Open Doors to New Opportunities

Mindy Ige’s life didn’t play out as expected, but she says Broadview University has helped her get started on the right career path.
“I was a young teen mom that could not go to college. After getting married and having a couple more kids, my husband was killed in a car accident,” she says. “I knew I needed to go to school, but didn’t know what to do. I got married again and realized that I needed to figure out a plan.”
Mindy’s plan included enrolling in the bachelor’s degree in paralegal program at Broadview University-Orem. She was initially attracted to the small size, excellent teachers and flexible classes with online and on-campus options. Mindy has nothing but positive things to say about the paralegal program.
“It opens up doors to great opportunities in the legal field. I am learning things you would learn in law school. It prepares you to be a high-functioning paralegal that can truly work alongside an attorney every step of the way,” Mindy explains. “This school is focused on providing you with not only an education, but a career path. They are interested in you as an individual. You are not just a number, but a person. I love that about this school.”
The personal attention Mindy receives from her instructors is another reason she loves attending Broadview University.
“They really put the effort into the curriculum they teach,” says Mindy. “They look at the job market and expectations and try to include all necessary classes to get you where you need to be to be employable.”
Mindy may have faced challenges in her life, but she knows the importance of a higher education.
“Education is everything,” she says. “I never knew how much I didn’t know and how much more was out there to learn about. I am proud of my accomplishments and look forward to a great career.”
Mindy says that career includes working for a law firm where she is trusted and given high responsibilities. She also wants to attend law school, if possible. No matter what the future brings, Mindy says attending Broadview University was the best decision she ever made.
“It all seemed overwhelming until I found Broadview. It was so easy to get started and keep going,” she says. “Broadview has provided me with an ‘I can do it’ attitude. I never thought I would be getting my degree, and I am almost there. They have provided me with confidence and a great education. I would not want to go to another school. It is the perfect fit for me.”
