Graduation, It is the end of one journey and the beginning of another.  Whether you are a graduate, a teacher, staff member, family member or friend, graduation is a special day. The Broadview University staff and faculty have always looked forward to graduation and this ceremony was no different.

Broadview Graduates getting pumped up for the ceremony

The student speaker are always one of the big highlights of the graduation and Medical Administrative Assistant graduate Brittany Steele (also the graduate of the quarter for Broadview University-Orem campus) did not disappoint. During her speech she told the graduates “No more late nights. No more time with fellow students and amazing teachers, motivation support. It is now or never. Your future is in your own hands” Graduation is a celebration of success, which was clear at the spring 2015 Broadview University ceremony.  Over 200 spectators watched their loved ones walk the stage, receive their degrees and walk into a new future.

Broadview University celebrates a staff and faculty of the quarter, in addition to the graduate of the quarter.  Broadview University-Orem staff person of the quarter was none other than Amanda Black, our Administrative Assistant extraordinaire.  Amanda does so much more than simply handle the front desk and has become an intricate part of the Broadview University-Orem team.  In addition, she is a graduate of our veterinary technology program and is presently working at West Mountain Veterinary Hospital, as well as working wonders for Broadview.

Our faculty of the quarter was Toni Pilcher, who has been helping students succeed for several years at Broadview University.  Randy Johnson, Dean of Education, Broadview University-Orem said it best, when he stated “Toni Pilcher is that almost perfect classroom combination of rigor and student engagement.  She connects with her students, and then systematically leads them through each and all of the course objectives.  In excellent example of an adjunct faculty.

All of us at Broadview University believe this statement from the great leader, Nelson Mandela “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” And our graduates are going to go out there and be part of that positive change.
