Broadview University graduates take many different paths following graduation. Occasionally, alumni stay with our school to help students enjoy the same experience they had. Brittny Oxford earned a Master of Science in Management degree with a managerial leadership emphasis from Broadview University-Online and now works as an admissions representative at Broadview University-West Jordan.
Brittny grew up in Phoenix, Ariz. where she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Following graduation, she worked in admissions at both the Layton and West Jordon campuses of Broadview University. Brittny later decided to earn a master’s degree, completing the program in 11 months. Brittny’s degree gave her insight into the student side of Broadview University, as well as leadership qualities she needed for success in her career.
Brittny explains that her leadership skills help guide students in an appropriate direction while they’re deciding whether to enroll or choosing which program will provide the best career. Brittny’s leadership qualities help her be an advocate for the students she assists. Learning about managerial leadership also made her more confident in herself and her ability to give students the best advice.
In addition to her role at Broadview University, Brittny’s also applies her leadership skills as part of her own consulting business. She assists friends in learning how to run their businesses. She also works in marketing and consulting for her dad’s company.
Brittny previously worked in sales at a large company where she was assigned to create a corporate training program for new sales associates. Her degree provided her the skills needed to research how to best train people. Her education also helped her prepare for presenting ideas in front of a board of directors and stakeholders. Thanks in part to her degree from Broadview, she had the skills she needed to feel comfortable presenting in front of people.
In her spare time, Brittny loves hiking, camping and fishing. She’s looking forward to some winter hikes soon. She’s a football fan who roots for the Chicago Bears. She also enjoys concerts, museums and art galleries. Brittny is a foodie who likes to try out new restaurants in the Salt Lake City area.
