Broadview University Transforms into Broadview College
Broadview University preserves mission and vision by transitioning to Broadview College.
West Jordan, UT: Today, in an effort to better reflect the educational opportunities provided to our students, Broadview University will be transitioning our name to Broadview College. This change will allow our institution to better meet the needs of our students and the community that we support. One of our main objectives is to build community through education and this allows us to better represent our vision and mission and renew our focus on career and technical credentials.
Over time, Broadview College has transformed into a technical school that offers shorter-term, career-focused education to help our graduates enter the workforce in months rather than years. The goal is to prepare students for careers in allied, alternative, and wellness healthcare professions through smaller, hands-on classes that are taught by industry experienced instructors. Those instructors work side-by-side with our students and provide them a rich, real-world educational experience. One thing that has always been central to our student experience is the support they receive from the career services department. Students are prepared for the workforce even before they graduate through applied learning, resume building, mock interviews, and externships while also benefiting from the community connections Broadview College has within the greater Salt Lake City area and beyond.
We care about our students, we care about our employees, and we care about the employers who hire our graduates.
We will demonstrate we care by preparing career-focused, community-minded graduates for the global workforce.
Charles Buehler, Vice President of Marketing at Broadview College, reiterates the transformation of the name and states
Hopefully, this new name will better reflect our commitment to our students, career education and the community we have been a part of since 1977.
About Broadview College
Broadview College, originally established as the Bryman School, founded its downtown Salt Lake City location in 1977. From its initial focus on medical assisting, the school has expanded and added new programs to reflect the changing job market and meet students’ needs. In 1995, the school began awarding associate degrees, which are now offered in multiple fields. Broadview University moved the downtown campus to its current location in West Jordan in 2000, adding bachelor and graduate degrees. In May 2021, Broadview College changed its name from Broadview University to better reflect the educational opportunities provided to its students focused more precisely on career and technical credentials.
