Jump-start your massage career. By earning your Certificate in Massage Therapy from Broadview University, you can complete your massage/bodywork training in as few as 9 months with full-time enrollment.

Learning from experienced massage professionals, you’ll be able to apply what you learn by massaging real clients in our on-site clinic setting. When you graduate and complete the MBLEx certification exam, you’ll be eligible for membership in professional associations, including the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP).

Course Highlights

Pathology for Massage Therapists

This course introduces postural analysis and disease conditions for eleven body systems, providing you with related skills needed by massage therapists.

The Business and Ethics of Massage

You’ll learn the scope of practices, ethical standards, policies and regulations that affect a massage business. Topics include establishing self-care strategies and successful therapeutic relationships; forming professional alliances; attracting target markets using sales, marketing and retention strategies; and how to apply financial, administrative and insurance processes to the massage profession. You’ll also create business plan outlines for massage practices.

Massage Techniques Lab Practicum

This course is a 100-hour hands-on course where you apply knowledge and skills in a lab and in a clinic setting on outside clientele, under the supervision of an instructor. You experience a variety of body types and interactions with the public through activities including client interviews and assessments, creating client files, reviewing documentation, consulting and debrie ng the client, recording accurate S.O.A.P notes, and providing client education. You will use this experience to master clinical skills, perform clerical functions, marketing skills, and customer service skills such as scheduling, re-booking, and following-up with clinic clients.

Broadview’s helpful admissions team wants your enrollment to go as smoothly as possible. Start with your high school diploma/GED and entrance exam scores, then they’ll take it from there.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition and Fees

Tuition is $350 per credit. You may elect to purchase a massage table and/or chair from BVU; a charge of $250 to $400 will be applied to your student account if you make this election. Our Net Price Calculator helps you estimate the total cost of your education.

Credit Transfers

Credit Transfers

Our strong work credit and transfer credit programs may help you earn your degree faster and at a lower overall cost. Transfer up to 75% of the program (31.5 credits). Prior learning and work experience may count toward program credit.
