Broadview University Comes to Wisconsin
Published on August 17, 2017 by Brooke Tervola
In addition to providing statewide online options in business and technology, each location will offer much needed education to help prepare graduates for careers in medical assisting and massage therapy. Our first Broadview University classes will be starting October 2nd.
Broadview served as a partner school in the promise of assisting Wisconsin in meeting its workforce and employment needs through the teach-out of former Globe University students. It was evident that the needs of the state and workforce development would extend far beyond assisting these final students.
Broadview University decided to continue the legacy that Globe University had begun and work towards finding permanent homes in our Wisconsin communities. Working with our state and community partners and looking at the workforce needs, we decided to make a permanent home in the former Globe University locations of Appleton, Eau Claire, Madison, and Wausau. We feel in these local communities, as well as statewide, we can offer a premier career college experience.
We are excited to begin this new journey but recognize it is a process of building awareness of who we are and what we can offer the state of Wisconsin. If you visit these areas, you will see that we are in the process of putting up new signage and re-configuring our campuses. Globe University is a rich part of these communities’ histories and we are excited to make Broadview University a successful part of their futures.
THE NEW BROADVIEW UNIVERSITY:
Broadview University is a career focused institution providing students pathways to a new career in programs from our School of Business and Technology and School of Health and Wellness. Our School of Business and Technology offers graduate and undergraduate degrees as well as certificates in programs like Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, Paralegal, Mobile Application Development, and Software Application Development. Our programs within the School of Business and Technology are offered online to help make education a possibility for students needing the type of flexibility that an online program can offer.
Our School of Health and Wellness offers programs residentially in Medical Assistant and Massage Therapy as well as online programs in Exercise Science and Healthcare Management. Our Medical Assistant and Massage Therapy programs each have shorter-term programs that allow students to gain the knowledge and education needed to move into the career field faster than traditional degree programs. Wisconsin has a high demand for Medical Assistants all over the state and we are excited to offer a pathway for students to gain the skills needed to join that workforce.
Broadview University takes pride in being a community-based school that reacts to the demands of the workforce and communities where our campuses are located. We also strive to provide an online education that is enhanced by the local connection students can have with the residential campuses. We recognize that education does not only benefit the student but also the workforce and people around that student. We are not striving to be another career college in Wisconsin. Instead, we are aiming to be Wisconsin’s Career College.
We are excited to invite community partners, businesses, and prospective students to come check out our campuses and talk to a member of our campus staff.
