Business leaders manage the flow of information between themselves, other professionals, and their clients. In this course, you will analyze written and oral communication methods for the effective exchange of ideas. Youâ€™ll learn optimal methods for communicating with professional colleagues such as financial advisors, team leaders, sales associates, and production team employees. The course also examines the challenges that diverse virtual mediums and global markets can present as managers present, discuss, and negotiate various transactions.
Understanding and interpreting research and proposals is central to any management position. This course reviews how information is presented in all format types: narrative, visual, and statistical. Students will examine the presentation of concepts and communication of ideas. They will compare written and graphic approaches as well as electronic and print-copy formats. Students review technical issues and research ethics while writing individual business plan or project outlines.
This course will explore the challenges facing business leaders regarding their responsibilities to employees and society, and the legal and regulatory systems that enforce those principles. Working in teams and in study groups, students will examine case studies in business ethics and law, review published cases, and reach plausible solutions to address the issues.<
In this course, students look at the relationship between managerial decision-making and taxes. Topics include the different types of entities and the impact of tax considerations in corporate structure, reorganization, and compensation. The course also includes study of the Statements of Standards for Tax Services.
Upon receipt of the documents listed above, the program administrator (or designee) will conduct an interview to determine your acceptance into the program. The program administrator (or designee) will complete a Student Evaluation Form as an objective assessment to determine whether you will be accepted into the MBA program. You must receive at least the minimum score on the Student Evaluation Form. A copy of this form is available from the admissions department staff.
Based on your individual circumstances, the program administrator may grant you conditional acceptance to the MBA program. Any student admitted conditionally will need to meet all conditions prior to the last day of the studentâ€™s first quarter in the program. If the student does not meet the conditions prior to the last day of the first quarter, the student will be withdrawn from the program.
Candidates seeking entrance into our masterâ€™s programs may not apply more than once per quarter.
