Broadview University-Orem recently welcomed Aaron Escher, director of admissions, to our campus. Aaron originally comes from Rancho Cucamonga,
California. He, his wife and daughter Sadie moved to Utah in 2010.
“I have a passion for running, which I took up in 2010 and have not stopped since,” Aaron said. “I am a big supporter of the relay race Ragnar and have competed in 14 Ragnar’s thus far. This past October I set a new personal best with a half marathon in 90 minutes flat.”
Aaron’s career with Broadview began in July 2010 at the Layton campus. He later moved to the West Jordan campus before joining the Orem campus two weeks ago.
“What lead me to Broadview was pretty random,” Aaron said. “I moved to Utah and was looking for a job. This opportunity came up and it sounded like something that I could be good at and find success.”
Prior to working with Broadview University, Aaron worked for Enterprise Rent A Car in Fleet Management for more than five years. He received his MBA in September 2012 from Broadview University. He also earned a bachelor’s in communication from California State University, San Bernardino. His emphasis was in Mass Media and he planned on doing Sports Broadcasting. He had the opportunity to work at several TV station in Los Angeles and eventually was hired on by CBS to be a producer assistant.
“It was a fun time in my life, as I got to meet famous athletes, write scripts and conduct interviews,” Aaron said. “After a while I decided to go in another direction.”
Aaron’s advice for Broadview University students is: “Make a commitment and stick with it. Education is so important in this world and it will give you so many more options. Stick with it and endure; great things will happen.”
