Broadview Brody Attends First Health & Wellness Fair
Published on August 15, 2017 by Staff Writer
The Broadview University (BVU) – Madison Health and Wellness Fair was my first event and it was great! The medical assisting and massage therapy students set up information booths on a variety of topics to help educate the public. They also gave free screenings and chair massages. Maybe if I was a little smaller I would be able to get a chair massage.
The medical assisting students and I promoted the event a few weeks prior on our Facebook and Twitter social media channels. We had about 30 people attend the event and we are hoping that we see some of those faces on campus again soon.
“The Health and Wellness Fair at BVU-Madison was a huge success because our medical assistant students were able to showcase skills learned in the classroom and practice professional communication and patient education skills that will be needed as they prepare to go out on clinical externship next quarter,” said BVU-Madison’s Campus Director, Jamie Buenzli. “Thank you to the Madison community for attending and supporting our students and campus event!”
