The Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology at Broadview University prepares you for a meaningful career working with animals. You’ll gain the scientific foundation and office and procedural skills you’ll need to work in a clinic, animal hospital, shelter, or other veterinary medicine setting.
Get certified: After completing our accredited degree program, you’ll be eligible to sit for the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE). Passing the VTNE allows you to become a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), a designation that will give you a competitive advantage when you enter the job market.

As a student in Broadview’s veterinary technology program you’ll learn in the clinic as well as the classroom.
Get introduced to the world of veterinary medicine. You’ll learn the basics of animal identification, husbandry, grooming, and behavior, as well as gain an understanding of the business operations behind a practice.
Learn about various aspects of animal care including kennel management, nutritional requirements, how to respond to emergencies, and common disorders seen in veterinary practice.
Your A.A.S. in vet tech culminates in an externship. You’ll gain valuable skills as you put your classroom learning into practice in a professional veterinary setting.
