As a single mother with a full-time job, Jenny Hamilton says she needed flexibility. That was one of the main reasons she chose to attend Broadview University to earn her bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies. Jenny takes both online and on-campus classes at the West Jordan location.
“With my busy life schedule, I need that option,” she says.
Jenny’s instructors have also contributed to her positive educational experience.
“The administration and teachers on campus have always been there for me,” she explains. “There were times I wanted to give up, because being a single mom that works full-time and tries to juggle kids’ activities and school can be a challenge, but they kept me motivated.”
Her love for law has also kept Jenny going, and she looks forward to her future career.
“I love law and want to help people, and this has the best of both worlds. I want to be in a career that makes me feel fulfilled,” she says. “I am almost to the point of completing my degree, and I am getting excited for the next chapter in my life.”
Jenny says the Broadview University paralegal program has given her all the tools she needs to be successful.
“I am getting a business degree that also teaches the many facets of law, so I will be well-rounded and ready for a large pool of job opportunities,” Jenny says.
Her education means a lot more to Jenny than just having job opportunities, though. Her degree will give her a sense of accomplishment and confidence.
“I will be able to tell my son that an education is important and show that by being an example,” says Jenny. “I will also be one of the only children in my family that has achieved a degree.”
